Jazz Lobby – Big Band Night – Blues Burner
KZ is not your regular small jazz cafe, KZ is an experience! This stunning Art-Deco ballroom with a terrace on het IJ offers the best LIVE swing jazz and blues in town! Join us in the Jazz Lobby, bring your groove to the Big Band Night, or blow of some steam at the Blues Burner.

“The Jazz Lobby” is the entrance/foyer of the exceptional monumental/art deco Kompaszaal, that used to be the waiting hall of the Dutch Kings Steam Shipping Company, in the eastern side of Amsterdam. A ‘gezellige’ jazz club, that combines an opening concert, a jam session & delicious cocktails. It’s a temple for the enthusiasts of the first streams of jazz: be it musicians sharing their craft, art seekers indulging in the music or dancers letting loose on the dance floor.
The goal is to let this community grow as much as possible, sharing ideas and concepts, communicating between various art forms and partying like crazy. The opening acts will take place from 9 to 10 pm and then continue with the session from 10 till we can.
